Bigger premises allows ambitious retailer to keep growing

WORKWEAR retailer Totally WorkWear has expanded its Nerang store, doubling its size

and the number of Counter Intelligence Pos counters, to meet demand.from the Gold Coast's

business and trades communities.

Totally WorkWear Gold Coast, headed by Jason and Carey DeBoer, has relocated its Nerang outlet

from a 150sqm tenancy at Hinkler St to 2/50 Spencer Rd, in the heart of the Nerang commercial and

industrial precinct.

The couple, through company Carson Holdings, which trades as TWW Gold Coast, have leased the

370 SQ m premises from Foremost Properties for five years, with the option to extend for a further five years.

TWW Gold Coast has been using Counter Intelligence Software from its early inception.

Totally Workwear Gold Coast is part of the TWW national buying group, and has four stores across the Gold

Coast region, with others at Southport, Oxenford and Tweed Heads. The Kudos Communicator application links

these stores in real time to a Cloud based Data Centre, hosting the SQL Server and Counter Intelligence Office

database and Software.

Mrs DeBoer said an increase in construction activity on the Gold Coast and the growing confidence in the city

had prompted the expansion. A former finalist in the New Zealand Entrepreneur of the Year awards, Mrs DeBoer

also said the 2018 Commonwealth Games was boosting confidence and excitement across the Gold Coast region

"I have seen it and have been through it before" said Mrs DeBoer.

"While with Drake International in Auckland I had the privilege of helping to attract and co-ordinate more than 1500

volunteers for the Auckland Commonwealth Games.

"The Games brought a huge boost in confidence as well as a boost to the Auckland economy and we expect the Gold Coast

experience will be much the same"

Mrs DeBoer also said Carson Holdings has been investing in its equipment, buying a third embroidery machine at a cost of $80k

to increase its production capabilities.

Totally WorkWear Gold Coast's major clients include Gold Coast District Health, National Tiles, Australian Industry Trade College

Masonic Care QLD, boatbuilder Telwater, Gold Coast TAFE, schools St Hildas and TSS, light-rail system operator KDR

Gold Coast council, Mr Rentals and Victory Ford.

It also has produced clothing for entertainment companies including set uniforms for I am a Celebrity, Get mu Out of Here

and for the movie San Andreas

TWW Gold Coast also provided gifts for the crews including handmade slippers for actor Dwayne Johnston and Kylie Minogue.
